Flagship studio
Signal Architecture for Product Dashboards
An eight-week studio for product managers and product analysts who can already query events, but whose dashboards still collapse when a stakeholder walks in. You leave with a decision inventory, an event contract, and a canvas you can defend.
Modules
- 01
Decision inventory
Write the arguments your room actually has. If a chart cannot change a backlog item, it does not earn the first screen.
- 02
Event grammar
Verbs, objects, and properties that still parse after marketing renames a funnel. Contract review with Kritsada’s checklist.
- 03
Metric trees without vanity branches
Build a tree from the decision metric down. Cut rates that only exist because a vendor template suggested them.
- 04
Canvas composition
Density, hierarchy, and the “so what” panel. This is where Telemetry Canvas becomes homework, not theory.
- 05
Cohorts and retention without theatre
Window choice, resurrection, and when a smile-shaped curve is just a holiday.
- 06
Alerting versus reporting
Two jobs. Mixing them trains teams to ignore both. You will split your current stack on paper even if you cannot split it in production yet.
- 07
Stakeholder critique lab
Thursday nights. Guests sit in. You present; the room marks whether a stranger could decide in ninety seconds.
- 08
Ship a live canvas
On your product or our sandbox. No slide deck about “next steps.” The artefact is the dashboard.
What you should be able to do afterwards
- Defend a first screen using a written decision, not a taste argument
- Hand an engineer an event contract that survives a campaign rename
- Read a retention curve without performing confidence you do not have
- Keep paging alerts off the weekly review canvas
- Leave a dated annotation that next week’s reader can trust
Informational pricing
Studio Seat is $2,140 per person for the live eight-week room (hybrid seats exist when travel is impossible). Canvas Pass is $790 for recordings, templates, and two written critique windows. Neither figure is payable on this website. See pricing for Atelier Desk if you are bringing a squad of up to four.
FAQ
Do I need SQL?
Yes, enough to query an events table and join a small dimension. This studio will not teach window functions from scratch. If that sentence worries you, wait — or pair with an analyst who already lives in the warehouse.
Will you implement our mobile SDK?
No. Instrumentation partners and your engineers own that layer. We will criticise emission rules and naming; we will not ship code to production on your behalf. That is a real limitation, not a modest disclaimer.
Can I use a sandbox if legal blocks screenshots?
Yes. We keep a fictional grocery app with a messy schema. Several alumni preferred it to arguing with their CISO for eight weeks.
What if I miss a Thursday critique?
Live students get one recorded catch-up. Miss two and we suggest switching the remaining weeks to Canvas Pass rather than pretending you sat the room.
Notes from people who sat this studio
Week four’s canvas composition changed how our GM meeting opens. We still argue, but we argue about unfinished errands instead of DAU colour.
“I underused the annotation field until week eight. Wish I had taken that seriously sooner — the rest of the canvas was already good enough.”
★★★★★Nalinee is precise to the point of blunt. Bring a thick skin to Thursday. That is why we sent a second PM.
